Getting Started - Client Server Mode

Often you will want to configure BRAIN so that you can control the Robot over the network. This is called Client Server mode where the Server is your Robot, and the Client is a remote PC. Both the client and server are connected to the network, and you can control and interact with your Robot over the network. For example, you might want to have your Robot at home or in a warehouse, and connect to it from work, or from a different location to see what it's up to. This is easy to achieve via BRAIN.

To use client server mode install BRAIN on your Robot and on the computer you wish to use to connect to your Robot.

On the Robot (the server): configure the Robot as a server so it can accept client connections: (This is done via the settings tab, then select Network options).
Click on the option: This application is installed on: The Robot. You can leave the other settings as-is for now, unless you wish to change them.

Click on the option: This application is installed on: A client that connects to the Robot. You can leave the other settings as-is for now, unless you wish to change them.

Now, on the Robot (the server), click on the button that says Start Robot services (this can be automated via the same settings screen later), and your Robot is now ready to accept remote (client) connections.

After a few seconds your client connects to the Robot, and you should hear the Robot say "A new client has connected to me."
