Layouts
Sometimes you'll want to change the layout of BRAIN For example, you may not want to use Joystick navigation, and instead prefer to use Cardinal navigation. Or perhaps, you want more or less panels displayed. Perhaps you want to change the location of panels to suit a particular need. Well, this is simple to do in BRAIN via layouts. You can pick from a few basic layouts that are included, or save your current view as a new (or existing layout).
To view the layouts menu, right click on the main window (not on a panel), and the layouts menu will appear:
Using the layouts menu, you can choose which panels you want to display. Here's an example of using only 3 panels for a minimal look:

Moving and resizing panels:
You can also move and resize panels. You'll notice a small resize handle at the lower right of each panel. using it you can resize a panel. When you move or resize a panel, a dimension or location tooltip appears to help with placement:
To move a panel, simply left-click and drag the panels title bar. The panels border turns green to let you know it is selected and is ready to be moved. A panels border turns red to let you know if it overlaps another panel.
TIP: To get more control over moving and resizing panels, consider enabling the Snap to grid option and the Show grid lines options:
Once you have created a configuration you like, you can Save current layout to a file name you choose for future use.
TIP: If you your layout as default.lay, that layout will become your default layout each time you start B.R.A.I.N.
TIP: Layouts and Themes are simply text files (in the Layouts and Themes directory) that you can share with others.
